UpRising deadline extended until 19th May

The UpRising leadership programme is being developed by the Young Foundation to support and train a new generation of public leaders. It will identify, recruit, develop and support 19 to 25 year olds to enable them to play a greater role in politics and public decision-making processes. The aim is to create a pool of talented young leaders from diverse backgrounds who can take up positions of power in public institutions.

UpRising will be piloted in the East London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Newham and Tower Hamlets in 2008/2009 and then spread around London and into other major cities across the UK.

The UpRising leadership programme will be launched at the end of April.

If you want to apply for UpRising, or get involved in any way, please visit the website at uprising.youngfoundation.org
