Jane is a political sociologist whose work focuses on the interplay between theory, politics and policy making. Currently a policy consultant, she has worked at the Young Foundation, London South Bank University and the Institute for Public Policy Research.
At the Young Foundation Jane worked on the Mapping Britains's Needs project and the Belonging project, she was a Senior Research Fellow with the Families and Social Capital ESRC Research Group at the London South Bank University and a Research Fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research.
Jane is particularly interested in the dynamic between theory, policy and practice; in issues of class, inequality and social justice in contemporary societies, and social change.
