Raheel Mohammed

Raheel MohammedRaheel is the Research Associate for the British Muslims Project, Maslaha, he joined the Young Foundation in January 2007.

Trained as a journalist with a degree in English, Raheel has worked for a number of organisations including Time Out and the BBC, as well as writing on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He has worked with and continues to be involved with organisations engaged in multi-faith research and conflict resolution such as The Lokahi Foundation and Peace Direct. He also works with the Offscreen Education Programme, providing a fresh perspective of the Middle East through art. He is also currently writing a play.

Raheel has written articles on various subjects including a feature exploring race in London, which was awarded a CRE Race in the Media Award, an exclusive on stolen Iraqi antiquities surfacing in London, public services in the Capital, an examination of the media coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as well as the odd wry piece on Bollywood.
