Nusrat Faizullah

Nusrat Faizullah Nusrat is a Launchpad Associate working mainly in Learning Launchpad, she joined the Young Foundation in April 2007 and before moving to Launchpad was part of the Neighbourhoods and Local Innovation team working on the Local Social Innovation project funded by NESTA, this project aims to clarify what makes a locality innovative in the social field and seeks to provide conclusions as to what best can be done to promote and spread local social innovations.

The project considers case studies from around the UK as well as several international case studies in order to identify key factors that are required to make a certain area socially innovative. Nusrat also worked on the apprenticeships strand of the Wellbeing project.

More about Nusrat

Before joining the Young Foundation Nusrat completed her MSc. in Management at Tanaka Business School at Imperial College, during which she wrote her dissertation on the field of social enterprise. She also runs her own social enterprise which assists teachers of visually-impaired pupils in inclusive schools. Nusrat is a member of the inaugural TeachFirst Programme in London and spent two years working as a qualified science teacher in a challenging inner-city secondary school. She holds a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.
