Femi Longe

Femi Longe Femi joined the Young Foundation in January 2007 and is the Project Lead for the Young Foundation UpRising Project.

The project aims to develop the leadership skills of young people from relatively marginalised communities in the UK to help increase their participation and involvement in politics and public life.

Before coming to the Young Foundation, Femi worked as a consultant with UK education and learning-space consultancy, Bryanston Square. Prior to that, he had various roles, over an 8-year period, at international youth leadership charity, AIESEC including Director for Africa responsible for strategy and performance of 17 national chapters across the continent. Over the years, he has been actively involved as organiser, trainer, chair and delegate in more than 60 youth leadership development conferences in 22 countries worldwide.

Femi was on a panel of 50 youth leaders from across Africa and Germany selected to give policy advise on African development through cooperation with Germany and the EU in the Partnership with Africa programme.  He is also a Director of Tiwa, a clothing brand that promotes national pride amongst Africans in the Diaspora.

Femi was on a press conference panel with 4 African presidents (Ghana, Botswana, Liberia & Benin) and the President of Germany in January 2007
