Anton Shelupanov

Anton Shelupanov Anton manages the Innovation, Justice and Youth programme and joined the Young Foundation in November 2007.

Before joining the Young Foundation Anton worked at the International Centre for Prison Studies at King's College, London, where he lead the Centre's work on Prison Healthcare and managed a number of high profile projects in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia and East Asia. He has been an adviser and consultant to a number of governments and organisations including the Council of Europe, the World Health Organisation and the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime.

In 2002 Anton was decorated by the Russian Ministry of Justice for his contribution to furthering the observance of human rights in the region. Anton's previous areas of research include prison and public health, prison management, the human rights of persons in detention and security sector reform. He currently sits on the World Health Organisation's Prisons and Health Steering Group and the UK TB Implementation Taskforce.

More about Anton

Outside of his day job, Anton is the Vice Chair of Homes for Haringey, an organisation which manages the 20,000 strong social housing stock of the London Borough of Haringey. He lives in Tottenham and is a keen amateur boxer. He was educated at St Hugh's College, Oxford University.
